The objectives of the Lichfield Waterworks Trust are:
To promote and preserve the Grade II* listed nineteenth-century Sandfields Pumping Station complex and associated infrastructure as important historic and cultural assets.
To undertake its conservation, ensure its security, and provide safe access to the general public.
To promote and preserve for the benefit of the public the unique 1873 Cornish Beam Engine at the Station.
To promote access to Sandfields Pumping Station for public use, including education, arts performance, and community development.
